Performance-Enhancement Training
In an increasingly competitive professional environment, pressure of media attention, athletes have to perform at a very high level and still avoid injury. To help them succeed, the advanced techniques of Performance Enhancement Training creates highly individualized integrated programs that enrich training and enhance performance.
At HM Sports, we are experts in helping athletes and weekend warriors alike to achieve remarkable results.
Through sports specific programs, any athlete can be helped to enhance his performance in the athletic world.
It also is important to understand, Performance Enhancement is not only limited to athletes but for anyone interested in improving their game.
We at HM Sports fully understand how the Human Body moves and performs through functional anatomy. Special attention is paid to assessment of the kinetic chain, human movement science involving functional anatomy.
INTEGRATED PERFORMANCE TRAINING
PERFORMANCE PROFILE
This is a systematic problem-solving method our professionals use about exercise and acute variable selections.
It provides all the necessary information to our Specialists to modify and progress an athlete through their integrated training program.
POSTURAL CONSIDERATIONS
Paying special attention to the structural integrity and alignment of the Kinetic Chain, also known as posture, we focus on optimum alignment of the kinetic chain.
Our Specialists are highly trained and educated to design programs to correct any postural distortion patterns of the body muscular system.
CORE STABILIZATION TRAINING
Movement begins at the core, as it is the bodies center of gravity.
A dynamic core stabilization program is designed to achieve optimum performance from within the body’s center of gravity.
This program enables an individual to gain optimum neuromuscular control of the lumbo-pelvic-hip complex and to achieve optimum performance.
FLEXIBILITY TRAINING
Being a key component for all training programs, we at HM Sports use flexibility training on every individual extensively.
Correcting muscle imbalances, decreasing muscle soreness, relieving joint stress, increasing joint range of motion (ROM) and improve the extensibility of musculotendinous junction and maintain the normal functional length of all muscles.
BALANCE TRAINING
Whether it is strength, speed, skill or flexibility that dominates the movement in question, balance is a major component of all above mentioned movement.
Intensity of balance training is depending on selection on sports specific exercises, or just simply improving balance for the everyday person trying to fitness their movement patterns.
Various balance training methods are applied to all individuals while maintaining their center of gravity over a changing base of support during functional movement patterns.
SPEED/AGILITY TRAINING
This integrated training focuses on improving all aspects necessary to enhance speed, agility and quickness.
Special attention is paid to:
Starting speed
Acceleration speed
Top end speed
Change of direction speed
Stopping speed
Closing speed
REACTIVE TRAINING
Also considered as plyometrics, is defined as a quick and powerful movement involving an eccentric contraction followed immediately by an explosive concentric contraction.
Reactive training is designed to fit into sports-specific exercises that will allow the individual athlete to improve the bodies response to any demand he is placed on.
STRENGTH/RESISTANCE TRAINING
Following a detailed STRENGTH TRAINING EVALUATION, here at HM, we define strength into several different categories as they are applied to the individual needs of our clients.
MAXIMUM STRENGTH
The maximum force that an individual`s muscle can produce in a single voluntary effort, regardless of the rate of force being produced.
ENDURANCE STRENGTH
The ability to produce and maintain force over a prolonged period of time
SPEED STRENGTH
The ability of the body’s system to produce the greatest possible force in the shortest possible time
EXPLOSIVE STRENGTH
The ability to produce high levels of force production once a movement pattern has been initiated.
REACTIVE STRENGTH
The ability of the body’s system to - switch from reducing force to producing force quickly and efficiently.
STABILIZATION STRENGTH
The ability of the stabilizing muscles to provide optimal dynamic joint stabilization and maintain correct posture during movements.
RESISTANCE TRAINING
Optimum gain in strength, the body’s neuromuscular efficiency, hypertrophy (muscle mass gain) and function.
POWER TRAINING
Applying the greatest amount of maximal strength in the shortest period of time is the main focus of this program.
Power training involves explosive strength training, ballistics, plyometrics and heavy strength training.
Our Specialists will design a power training program fir to each individual based on their initial strength assessment.
